Tomodachi!

AX Update following the Friday 5 (see more section)

1. Do you remember your first best friend? Who was it?
I forgot... o___o but she was super cool and we did lots of things together... due to time we drifted apart and I moved away. T_T We should go to Tokyo U together! (bad joke)

2. Are you still in touch with this person?
Nope, moved away.

3. Do you have a current close friend?
A handful, you know who you are, my sparklebuddy, my meepbuddy, and my girlygirl buddy, my betterhalf (tm) and Shannon my remaining HS close friend.

4. How did you become friends with this person?
Aside from Michi, the rest I met online... ^^;;; I met Michi at SFSU, and Shannon I met in health class the summer school class before we started our freshman year.

5. Is there a friend from your past that you wish you were still in contact with? Why?
Not really, Shannon is the only bridge I did not burn... that should be enough of an explanation.

----

I am still in Vacation mode... that is if you tossed in a class at the end and a final due the Monday following hahaha.

Wednesday bf and I started our drive down to AX at 5 am. We were insane but we wanted to get out of the Bay Area and on the 5 by 6ish when the traffic getting to the 5 wasn't bad. With a quick stop by my parent's house to print out some iron-ons (which were printed wrong T_T) and a super cute skirt! This skirt I made with my mom, it was some left over eyelet fabric from something years back, and now its a skirt!

We drove to a friend's house met his super cute dog and then started the drive from the 99 to the 5, where bf got really really tired and I drove the latter half of the grapevine down. I was really nervous and tired and drove a good portion of the mountains with the parking break on. _O_ However we got to Anehiem safe and napped a bit then ran into Rinarin and her friend and later Hank and Rob and had dinner at Cocos. I had a seat facing California Adventures and kept staring at the ferris wheel. This ride has some cars on independent ellipses that would swing the car back and forth. I wanted to ride that ride!

Thurs: (Was sparkly pink shirt day with Rinarin!)
After crashing at midnight the night before, we woke up early enough to make it down to the karaoke room to finish set up and munched on donuts. Afterwards we went to the dealer's room and I put on my Misaki costume and discovered there were no Angelic Layer cosplayers! Later went to the dealer's room where KT and I thanked Tokyopop in person for being so nice to us for the Clamp panel. Then we wandered the dealer's room, I escaped to change out of costume and to staff karaoke again.

Staffed... did the shoujo panel. It was rather strange to talk for 15 minutes and then open the floor to questions. It made me rethink the way panels are done. After the shoujo manga panel I picked up dinner for various people... then went to sleep at 4 am.

Friday: is skirt day!
Rinarin and I put on skirts and staffed all day, I didn't see much of the con, except for a few hours where I was relieved of my hours and went to the dealer's room to go get something for Mitsuru Hongo to sign. Mitsuru Hongo is my second Sakura Taisen related autograph! He directed the Sakura Taisen movie. Which the bf and I saw after hitting up the dealer's room, we both nit-picked the movie (as Sakura Taisen fans do.) Hongo did a little talk before the movie. In the end I picked up the Sakura Taisen Romantica book for Hongo to sign.

Later we ran around the con and then staffed Karaoke contest wherein the contest ran overtime (as usual) and then we slept woke up later to staff more hours, closed karaoke early again, and then slept some more.

Saturday: Hongo signing day!
I woke up for the Hongo singing at 12, it took me 5 minutes to get it signed and everything. I was second in line! I met a girl who stood infront of me who had a giant poster of the Sakura Taisen movie. She and I talked about the movie, the series, and the games for a bit. Its nice to talk to another Sakura Taisen fan that's a girl. ^^

Later I put on my Haku costume and wandered over to the Naruto gathering. It was huge, there were 3 other Haku cosplayers there and two zabusas. =) Aside from that we went back to the karaoke room staffed a bit more then went to a birthday dinner!

All in all I spent less than I thought I did at this con. I picked up mostly Sakura Taisen books (yes its kinda ironic.)

Sakura Taisen 4 Guide + Character Information
Sakura Taisen 2 Guide book 2 (was missing the second half, I got it for 8!)
Sakura Taisen Romantic Movie Book (signed by Mitsuru Hongo!)
Kerochan can-badge ($2!)

And the rest I picked up for free from the Pioneer booth:
Abe fan
Mao-chan pin! (sooooo cute!)
