Out of morbrid curiosity (and because I discovered that I can't stand the battle engine for ST1 & 2) I went and got Glycine's ending for Sakura Taisen 4. Interestingly... I wanted to also see if I could get through the game with either a neutral result or a positive result (when answering LIPS prompts). I was doing it mostly for increasing the attack, defense, and movement #'s for the characters.
So instead of torturing poor Maria again (who had gone through Glycine and Lobelia's set ups in ST4) I chose Orihime, the red Italian noble vs. Glycine, the blue French noble. Which made it easier when I had to tell the teito girl that yes, I was going to France with Glycine. I was curious to see if they had added Glycine/Orihime dialogue. Sakura Taisen 3 has Glycine and Orihime squaring off in chapter 9 of the game making references to each other's house of nobility and thereby insulting each other. They do add the dialogue. =)
Secondly... Glycine pretty much chooses Oogami to be her "future husband" since he seems to fit all the requirements for "the perfect Bleumer man" (Ignoring that he is older than her by at least 5 years and that he's Japanese I wonder how that translates into French nobility ^_~). I was curious to see how that carried over to the ST4 ending. It does and she ends up running around on the Bleumer Private Beach in a bikini, ignoring that bikinis were not invented back then. ^_~
Also... because I played ST4 twice before... I managed to get through the game with out a negative chime, except for certain Orihime prompts I had to tell her somehow right?
In Sakura Taisen 3 I was left wondering what it was like to use the ST3 battle engine with the Teito girls. Sakura Taisen 4 answers that, on top of that you can choose up to five girls to make your own Oogami Kagekidan. Depending on who you choose to be in your party and the mood of those 5 people (including your parther for the Shoubu) Oogami's attacking, defense, and movement points differ. The first time I played the game I chose based on preference (Maria, Lobelia, Glycine, Sakura and Erica) which gave Oogami an added bonus of +1 +1 +0 (attack, defense, movement) not bad. The second time I played it I discovered this guide for choosing certain groups and chose one called "Battle" which consisted of Leni, Glycine, Lobelia, Maria and Kanna. That gave Oogami an added bonus of +4 +1 +1 (or something like that) the first two #'s don't mean much in terms of the point based battle system, it just means your attacks and defense strengthens. The last # is what's good. +1 movement gives you an added notch on the "point bar." I think you also get 1 point added for scoring additional attack and defense points. That means you move further, attack more.
The end result for Glycine's play... turned out to be +9 +9 +1 (which for Oogami is pretty rare!) Most of the time it is the girls that get addional points. (+8 +5 +2). Oogami is usually shafted but that's okay... the combined super with the #1 girl makes up for that. ^_~
Almost done with Hanabi's ending... I have discovered that I don't like formal Japanese. Desuwa drives me insane. =P
All that's left is Maria's ending and Hanabi's, get a VMU copy the files and Tsubaba can have it all back. ^^ (Besides... school starts in August...) I also didn't notice this till I got Glycine's ending and was brought back to the menu page. When you get an ending in ST4 the girl whose last ending you got is featured and the signatures of all the people you have endings with show are written on the menu page. =) (Lobelia's looks like she scratched it out with her Koubu claws.)
Also... in Sakura Taisen 3 endings appear on your menu screen as pictures over the Chates Noir poster/menu. (Its more obvious than say... the ST4 signatures).
Also in ST3 and 4 when you have a prompt, you can see every single item you have ever recieved during the game. Including... the farewell letters of the girls you have endings with... their notes they leave you in the 10th chapter, a croissant, etc, and all their bromides. The same applies to ST4. This differed from the ST2 and ST1 modes where you had to go to Tsubaki to see all your bromides.
