You think Orochimaru has something to do with Sasuke's family's deaths? He seems to make a reference to it? Maybe I need to download those chapters from Toriyama. >.> I am so not amused by downloading manga I already have.
Sasuke is still cool. XD
Yay! So I asked Kya to pick up Naruto manga vol 4-10. =) And after finally get a notice slip from the post office I have Naruto 1-10. Ironically manga is like stocks, buy low. And at the current yen rate its a great buy. =)
Anyways I skimmed most of the manga and just when I thought Sasuke was cool, he got cooler, not only does he have shyaringan in both eyes and turn them on and off at will like a coffeemaker, but he's able to beat back a curse left by orochimaru! XDD Cool! XD And aparently Kya told me Kakashi/Sasuke and vice-versa was a pretty popular pairing for dj. Considering that Kakashi did something to Sasuke's curse and it required stripping Sasuke's shirt... XD Also apparently Sasuke is getting special training from Kakashi-sensei. *snicker*
Orochimaru is scary, kind of like Saitou when he was first introduced in the Kenshin manga, yep, very neurotic with this alterior motive look. I mean... he got excited when he saw Sasuke fight in the 2nd round, he licked his lips and had this "Mmmm meat!" look! Actually he was thinking, "Subarashii!" which now just warps the meaning "Subarashii desune!" to a whole new level.
Sakura ends up hacking her hair off, which takes guts, but she finally shows her stuff. I was wondering when she'd stop wringing her hands in worry over Sasuke getting beat up. ^^;;
I was afraid Naruto manga would get episodical but its turning out to be quite good. =) Besides its got cool characters and Naruto likes cup ramen. A boy after my own heart. XD
Well... being as I have angered myself past sleep I shall blog about about two series. One is a standby and the other is just gorgeous art. The first being Nervous Venus and the second being Ja-dou (the manga art is being used as the layout).
Ja-dou
Jadou is a story about a fantasy world where magic and pointy eared ukes are common. Apparently (from random surfing around the net) its a manga series that was based on a popular yaoi novel which is very loosely based on what RG Veda was based on too. (Note: Ashura and Ashray are not that silimar except for sharing the first 3 letters >.>) Anyways... the story seems to revolve around hot tempered Ashray and his relationship with Tiarandear, who is the leader of a country. (Or was made leader of a country...) There are other characters involved... short lived Alan whose death becomes the reason why Ashray hates Tiarandear, and Teiou and Keika who work for Tiarandear's special army. (?) The plot revolves primarily around Ashray and Tiarandear but a secondary plot revolves around Teiou and Keika, who have a very sweet relationship. Keika being very caring of his lover Teiou.
Ashray is definitely not of the human kind, he hides his pointy ears and he hides his horn under a hat. While he is resistant of Tiarandear's advances he thinks of Tiarandear often (sometimes in anger and sometimes out of find childhood memories.)
Either way... Tiarandear (who is on this blog, upper left) regrets being made the leader of his country, while he does not mind being the leader he longs for a day when he and Ashray can pretty much lay about the grass with books and a snog or two. (Very romantic idea...). He is handsome and is not disposed to spontanenous sex with women or other magical leaders. However he only loves Ashray (who hates him). Very strange series, but on the other hand, its got gorgeous art, and it makes up for the melodramatic plot. Vol 3 should be out soon. >.>
As for the Nervous Venus ramble that's more spoilerish and the summary (very rough and probably got mistakes) can be found by clicking on "more."
Nervous Venus - Winter Nakayoshi Special 01
Winter Nakayoshi published a chapter of Nervous Venus which is a shock to see after five years. The series has been running for five years, at least. The oldest Amie dates back to 3/97 which was accquired through Ebay I think...) Anyways This chapter (which was paired in the same manga as Tokyo Mew Mew) deals with a new chapter. Sakura (who was Seki's first big love/tutor/now sister-in-law) has a run in with Haru (Sakura nearly drives over Haru's feet) and Seki comes face to face with his rival, Onoda. Onoda is oblivious to Seki's scheming and fuming. Seki believes that Onoda is not only infringing on his territory at school but also becoming very close with Haru.
Meanwhile Haru is still broken over Aki's loss. She is still two faced, happy in school and stony at home.
Seki on the other hand received a confession from a classmate. He is caught off guard by the girl's confession but he is still resolved to have Haru as his girlfriend. Later he tells Kanda (during a break between soba selling which was what their class was doing for a fundraiser) about his dilema with Haru. Kanda listens quietly and later Kanda hugs him. The funny part is that they both get caught mid-embrace by a teacher walking into the classroom. (Very humorus guy/guy scene =) ) Later Seki runs into Haru who has her arms full of papers and rulers. He offers to help but Haru runs away before he could reach for the material. She runs into Onoda (Taiko-sama~!) and she lets him help her carry things. Onoda understands Haru's frustration with Seki's attention towards her and tells her not to worry. (Shinpaishinpai!)
Intersting thing about Nervous Venus is the fact that Seki may not get Haru at the end (the way this chapter ends with Haru getting along with Onoda and pushing Seki away).
